It’s easy to find your soul caught up in this crazy thing we call life. We get so busy we turn into these modern robots. It’s like we get stuck doing the same thing over and over. Well stop and live a little. Let yourself have play time. No matter how old we get we need it. Here are 3 of my favorite tips that I truly live by and that you carry on well past your golden years!

 Stay Playful.                                                                                                                                                    Go run through the sprinklers, or a giant water fountain. If you are walking to your car with someone, make it a race. Go to the kids section of the store and grab a kite to fly on a windy day. Or on a rainy day do a puzzle and bring out the board games. Games are a great way to keep your memory sharp too.  Remember all those little things that were simply so fun.

Wonder & Explore.                                                                                                                                         Go to your nearest book store and pick up a hiking book for your area. Once a week, flip through it, (with your eyes closed), and pick a page. You might just land on a path that will take you to a magical place you have never been to before or even knew was around you!

 Laugh on a Daily Basis.                                                                                                                         Smile a lot! People love a great smile. Whether you are in a 5 star hotel or grocery store you have the opportunity to share your smile and make someones day. Make 3 people smile a day and notice how much better the world becomes.

Are you feeling tight and sore after your morning jog on the sand or beach workout sesh? Jump in!!! You will feel better instantly and your body will thank you.

Besides reducing aches and pains, the salt water can help clear breakouts or acne. It will dry it up faster than most over the counter acne medicines. Why not naturally exfoliate your body while you’re at it? After your workout, jump in the ocean, then run back to the sand and roll around in it so from your neck down until you are completely covered, then go jump back in and with the salt water rinse it off in a circular motion. Living at the beach we call this method “corn dogging”. I don’t know why, just is, and it works. Then there is your hair. Ingredients:

1/2 Avocado

1 medium tomato

1 cooked chicken breast

salsa to taste

1 tbsp olive oil *optional for a healthy fat

salt & pepper to taste

 

How To:

Cut the avocado , tomato, and chicken up in squares and put it in a bowl. Add as much salsa as you like. Its totally healthy. Add salt and pepper to taste and drizzle the olive oil on top* optional. Stir just enough to mix the ingredients but not so much that it gets mushy and Viola!! Easy, healthy, and delicious ! This recipe is really great if you are short on time or need a quick snack and/or lunch.
